Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 11, 2026
Last updated: October 11, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Infowave, LLC ("Infowave," "we," "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit infowave.biz (the "Site"), contact us, or request an Exposure Scan. Infowave is a company based in Atlanta, Georgia, and our services are intended for businesses in the United States.
This policy applies to infowave.biz. The separate site at trading.infowave.biz is run by Infowave but is not covered by this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us.
- Contact form: your name, email address, the area you are interested in, and the message you write.
- Exposure Scan request: the website domain you want scanned, your work email address, your first name, and your confirmation that you are authorized to request the scan.
- Email and phone: if you email or call us, the information you share with us in doing so.
Information collected automatically. Our hosting provider processes technical information needed to deliver and secure the Site, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages requested and the date and time of the request. When you submit a form, our form-handling service also records your IP address, browser type and the page you came from with the submission. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools on the Site (see our Cookie Notice).
Information from public sources. For business outreach, we may collect business contact information, such as a work email address and job role, that a company has published on its own website. We use it only to contact that business about our services (see section 4).
Information about websites we scan. When we run an Exposure Scan, our scanner loads pages of the website you asked us to test and records which network requests the site makes, which cookies and tags it sets or fires, and what consent choices were in effect at the time. This is information about the website's behavior. It is not designed to collect personal information about the website's visitors. Our scanner identifies itself in its user agent.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, and please do not send it to us.
2. How we use information
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To run the Exposure Scan you request, send you the results, and follow up about them.
- To provide and improve our consulting and audit services.
- To contact businesses about our services, as described in section 4.
- To keep the Site and our systems secure, prevent spam and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information for advertising and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
3. Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers that process it on our behalf, and only as needed to operate our business:
- Netlify hosts the Site and receives form submissions (contact and Exposure Scan requests), which Netlify stores for us until we delete them.
- Akismet (Automattic Inc.), through Netlify's spam filtering, may receive the content of a form submission along with the IP address and browser information, to detect spam.
- Google Workspace provides our email, so messages you send us are stored there.
- A customer relationship management (CRM) service. We may use one to keep records of our business contacts and communications.
- Our scan database and the infrastructure it runs on. Exposure Scan results, your domain and your contact details are stored in our own database. If we use a cloud infrastructure provider to host it, that provider processes the data only on our behalf.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of our business.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Business outreach and your choices
We may email businesses about Exposure Scans and our other services. If you receive an email from us and do not want more, reply "unsubscribe" or follow the unsubscribe instructions in the message. We will stop emailing you promptly, and in any case within 10 business days. To make sure we honor your request, we keep your email address on a do-not-contact list.
5. How long we keep information
We keep the information we collect until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the purposes described in this policy. Unsubscribe and do-not-contact records are kept so that we can continue to honor your request. To ask for deletion, contact us at info@infowave.biz.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to receive a copy of it, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither), and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. Whether or not the law of your state requires it, we will respond to a reasonable request to access, correct or delete your information.
To make a request, email info@infowave.biz. We may need to confirm your identity, for example by replying to the email address on file. We will respond within 45 days. If we can't fulfil a request, we will tell you why.
Because the Site does not use tracking technologies, there is nothing on the Site to opt out of, and a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal does not change how we treat you.
7. California residents
If you are a California resident, this section supplements the rest of the policy. In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email address, IP address) and the content of your communications with us. We collected them from you, from our hosting provider's logs, and from business websites that publish contact details. We use them for the purposes in section 2. We have not sold or shared personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising in the past 12 months, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. You can use the rights in section 6, and an authorized agent can make a request for you.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) on the Site. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee the security of information.
9. Children
The Site and our services are for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Where information is processed
We operate in the United States, and information is processed and stored here. If you use the Site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we will give additional notice where appropriate.
